Recommendations Getting there:
Entebbe is served by many international carriers, e.g. British Airways, Kenya Air, Air France, Emirates, Ehtiopian Airways and others

Driving:
left hand drive, its best to hire vehicle with driver

Health:
Yellow fever vaccination is required, malaria precautions recommended, avoid tap water

Climate:
warm and hot during daytime, can get cool in the evening, especially at high altitudes. For hiking solid walking shoes, a waterproof jacket and cotton clothing are ideal, never forget to bring a hat, sunglasses, and also binoculars for animal watching

Passports and visas:
visa requirements may change, please check before you travel

When to visit:
all year round, though hiking and gorilla tracking may be more challenging during the rainy season, mid September till November and March to May

Language:
there are more than 30 different languages in Uganda but Ugandans usually speak fluent English

Tips:
are always welcome, 5-10 % in restaurants, guides and drivers should not be left out

Money:
Uganda Shilling, USD is most common, in tourist places Euros and British Pounds are often accepted. Out of Kampala it may get difficult to cash travellers cheques
