" Bwana Game " as he is known, was born and educated in Kenya and speaks fluent Swahili.
His work experience in Tanganyika and later Tanzania spanned from 1949 through to 1972. Started working as a water development engineering surveyor. He then transferred to the Ngorongoro Conservation Authority for 3 years before transfering to the Tanzania Game Department.
Appointed by His Excellency Mwalimu Julius Nyerere,the first President of Tanzania on a special assignment for antipoaching.
Eric worked as a Provincial Game Warden /Senior Game Warden until 1972. Eric Balson was essentially the "Chief Guide" for the Tanzania Gorvernment , especially for visiting VIP's.
A well known conservationist that Eric took on safari was H.R.H. Prince Bernhard of the Netherlands. They did many successful photograhic safaris together.
On leaving Tanzania, Eric continued working in the conservation field in a number of countries in very senior positions such as Zambia, Botswana, Nepal, Papua New Guinea, Namibia, Mozambique and in Canada.

Born in Tanga on the Swahili Coast of Tanzania, Alan is the son of the well known author and conservationist Eric " Bwana Game " Balson. As such he has an inborn love of the bush and animals and is a very avid supporter of eco- tourism.
Being born to the bush so to speak, Alan trained in bush survival in some of the harshest terrain in Sub- Saharan Africa.
Alan himself has worked as a ranger/ guide in Zambia in the South Luangwa region of Zambia for another well known figure in conservation.
Now, as agent in Canada, Alan can continue supporting his love of Africa and conservation beliefs from there.

Aalbert was born in the Netherlands. He worked in several African countries for several years, whereby he fell in love with this continent. He is now living in Tanzania where is is working for the Tanzanian sister company of Macho Porini Ltd. in Europe. Aalbert and his Tanzanian wife Rose are doing all the bookings and reservations for Macho Porini in Tanzania.
